We are currently seeking a diligent and results-driven individual to join our team as a Collection Executive in Ernakulam. The Collection Executive will be responsible for managing and optimizing the collection process for outstanding debts and payments owed to the company. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach. Responsibilities: Debt Collection: Contact customers with outstanding debts via phone calls, emails, or in-person visits to negotiate payment arrangements. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to overdue payments, working closely with customers to find mutually acceptable solutions. Maintain accurate records of collection efforts, payment agreements, and customer communications. Payment Processing: Process payments received from customers, ensuring accurate recording and allocation of payments against outstanding balances. Reconcile payments with outstanding accounts, identifying discrepancies and following up as needed to resolve issues. Customer Communication: Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing clear explanations of payment terms, deadlines, and consequences of non-payment. Respond to customer inquiries and requests for information promptly and effectively, addressing concerns and providing assistance as needed. Negotiation and Settlement: Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers in accordance with company policies and guidelines. Evaluate customers' financial situations and propose realistic repayment options based on their ability to pay. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of collection activities, including payment histories, correspondence, and account updates. Generate reports and analysis of collection efforts, delinquent accounts, and recovery rates for management review. Compliance and Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to debt collection practices. Adhere to legal guidelines and regulations governing debt collection, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other relevant laws. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in debt collection, accounts receivable management, or a similar role, preferably in the financial services, banking, or collections industry. Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and reach mutually beneficial agreements with customers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively. Proficiency in computer applications and software, including MS Office and collection management systems. Knowledge of debt collection laws, regulations, and best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving collection targets and goals. Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
