Steel Fabricator Job Opening in Thrissur

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Fabricator to join our team in Thrissur. The Steel Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding steel components and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires expertise in metal fabrication techniques, proficiency in using fabrication equipment, and a commitment to producing high-quality steel products. Responsibilities: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the materials, dimensions, and layout requirements for steel fabrication projects. Measure, cut, and shape steel plates, bars, and tubes using shears, saws, torches, and other cutting tools, ensuring accuracy and precision in dimensions. Operate fabrication machinery and equipment, including bending machines, press brakes, rollers, and welding machines, to fabricate and assemble steel components and structures. Weld, braze, or solder steel parts and components together using various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, arc welding, and oxy-acetylene welding, to create finished products. Grind, sand, and smooth welds, seams, and joints to remove excess material and achieve a smooth and seamless finish. Inspect fabricated steel components for defects, imperfections, and dimensional accuracy, and make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed. Assemble fabricated steel components into larger structures or assemblies, following assembly instructions and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the fabrication workshop, including equipment, tools, and work areas, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when operating machinery, handling hazardous materials, and performing welding operations, to prevent accidents and injuries. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to troubleshoot fabrication issues, resolve technical problems, and ensure project deadlines are met. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in metal fabrication or welding is preferred. Proven experience as a Steel Fabricator or Welder in a manufacturing, construction, or fabrication setting. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, processes, and equipment, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly. Demonstrated expertise in welding various types of steel, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, using different welding techniques. Ability to use fabrication tools and equipment safely and effectively, with a focus on precision and quality. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks in a workshop environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship in steel fabrication projects. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
