Key Responsibilities: Patient Consultation and Assessment: Conduct thorough consultations with patients to understand their medical history, lifestyle, and health concerns. Perform comprehensive assessments using Ayurvedic diagnostic methods, including pulse examination (Nadi Pariksha), tongue examination (Jihva Pariksha), and physical examination (Sarira Pariksha). Treatment Planning and Prescription: Develop personalized treatment plans and therapeutic regimens based on Ayurvedic principles to address the root cause of patients' health issues. Prescribe herbal remedies, dietary recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and therapeutic procedures (Panchakarma, Ayurvedic massages, etc.) to promote healing and balance. Herbal Medicine Dispensing: Prepare and dispense Ayurvedic medicines, herbal formulations, and dietary supplements tailored to individual patient needs. Provide clear instructions on dosage, administration, and precautions to ensure safe and effective use of herbal remedies. Therapeutic Procedures: Perform Ayurvedic therapies and treatments, such as Abhyanga (oil massage), Shirodhara (oil pouring on the forehead), and Swedana (herbal steam therapy), as part of the patient's treatment plan. Ensure proper hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards during therapeutic procedures to prevent infections and promote healing. Health Education and Counseling: Educate patients about Ayurvedic principles, lifestyle practices, and dietary guidelines for maintaining health and preventing diseases. Provide counseling and guidance on stress management, relaxation techniques, and mental health support to enhance overall wellbeing. Follow-Up Care and Monitoring: Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment through regular follow-up visits and assessments. Adjust treatment plans and recommendations based on changes in patients' health status and feedback. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, treatment plans, and progress notes for each patient encounter. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in medical documentation and record keeping. Collaboration and Referrals: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including allopathic doctors, specialists, and allied health practitioners, to provide integrated care for patients. Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers for additional evaluation or treatment when necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree from a recognized institution; additional postgraduate qualification in Ayurveda (MD/MS) is preferred. Valid registration with the Ayurveda Medical Council or relevant regulatory body. Clinical experience working as an Ayurveda Doctor in a healthcare setting, preferably in an Ayurvedic hospital, clinic, or wellness center.
