We are looking for a skilled Desktop Publishing (DTP) Operator to join our team in Mavelikara. The DTP Operator will be responsible for using computer software to create and format various types of documents, including brochures, flyers, posters, newsletters, and other marketing materials. This role requires proficiency in DTP software, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Document Formatting: Use DTP software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXPress) to format text, images, and graphics for print and digital publications. Create layouts, templates, and designs for various types of documents, ensuring consistency and visual appeal. Graphic Design: Design and create original graphics, illustrations, and artwork to complement textual content and enhance the overall layout and presentation of documents. Incorporate branding elements, logos, and corporate identity guidelines into design layouts. Text Editing and Typesetting: Edit and proofread text content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors. Typeset text in various fonts, sizes, and styles to achieve desired visual effects and readability. Image Editing and Manipulation: Manipulate and retouch images using graphic design software to enhance quality, remove imperfections, and adjust colors and contrast as needed. Resize, crop, and optimize images for different publishing platforms and formats. Print Production: Prepare print-ready files with appropriate specifications, including color profiles, resolution, and bleed margins, for offset or digital printing. Coordinate with printing vendors to ensure accurate reproduction of printed materials and timely delivery of finished products. Digital Publishing: Prepare digital documents and files for online distribution, including e-books, PDFs, and interactive multimedia presentations. Ensure compatibility with various digital platforms and devices, such as desktop computers, tablets, and mobile phones. File Management: Organize and maintain digital files, assets, and project folders in a structured and accessible manner. Archive completed projects and assets for future reference and retrieval. Client Communication: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address feedback or revisions. Ensure clear and effective communication throughout the design and production process. Qualifications: Diploma or certification in Graphic Design, Desktop Publishing, or a related field. Proven experience as a DTP Operator or Graphic Designer, with proficiency in DTP software and graphic design tools. Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document formatting, text editing, and image manipulation. Creativity and innovation in graphic design, with the ability to generate original ideas and concepts. Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with printing processes, prepress requirements, and file preparation for print production.
