We are currently seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Food and Beverage Service Staff in Kochi. The Food and Beverage Service Staff will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests by providing attentive service, taking orders accurately, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality. Key Responsibilities: Guest Interaction: Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide them with menus. Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Order Taking and Processing: Take food and beverage orders from guests accurately and efficiently, using a handheld device or order pad. Communicate orders promptly to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of items. Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu offerings, including food and beverage options, ingredients, and preparation methods. Provide recommendations and suggestions to guests based on their preferences and dietary requirements. Table Setting and Maintenance: Set tables with appropriate cutlery, glassware, and condiments before guests are seated. Monitor tables throughout the meal service, clearing empty plates, refilling water glasses, and ensuring tables are clean and presentable. Upselling and Promotion: Promote daily specials, seasonal dishes, and beverage promotions to guests to enhance their dining experience and increase sales. Upsell additional menu items such as appetizers, desserts, and beverages to maximize revenue. Payment Processing: Present bills to guests accurately, process payments, and handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions securely. Provide guests with receipts and thank them for their patronage. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other members of the service team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Communicate guest requests and special instructions to the appropriate departments for prompt resolution. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the dining area, including wiping down tables, chairs, and surfaces, and sweeping the floor. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, following proper handwashing and sanitation procedures. Qualifications: Prior experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with guests. Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tables and guest requests simultaneously. Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and bill processing. Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, including common menu items and ingredients (preferred but not required).
