We are looking for a skilled Computer Technician to join our team in Vadakara. The Computer Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware and software systems. Key Responsibilities: Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Perform diagnostic tests to identify hardware and software issues with computers, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Troubleshoot system failures, errors, and malfunctions to determine root causes and appropriate solutions. Hardware Repair and Maintenance: Repair or replace faulty hardware components, such as motherboards, processors, memory modules, hard drives, graphics cards, and power supplies. Install and configure hardware upgrades, including RAM, storage drives, and expansion cards. Clean and maintain computer systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Software Installation and Configuration: Install, update, and configure operating systems, drivers, and software applications on computers. Troubleshoot software issues, remove malware, and resolve compatibility conflicts to restore system functionality. Networking and Connectivity: Set up and configure wired and wireless network connections, including routers, switches, and access points. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, configure IP addresses, and diagnose network problems. Data Backup and Recovery: Perform data backup procedures to safeguard important files and documents. Retrieve lost or deleted data using data recovery tools and techniques. Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing updates on repair progress and explaining technical concepts in layman's terms. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and technical questions related to computer repair and maintenance. Quality Control and Testing: Conduct quality control checks and functional tests to ensure repaired computers meet performance and reliability standards. Perform final inspections and system checks before returning computers to customers. Qualifications: Diploma or certification in Computer Hardware Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Computer Technician, IT Support Technician, or similar role. Strong technical skills and knowledge of computer hardware, components, and architecture. Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Experience with operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers. Customer service orientation and commitment to delivering high-quality service and support. Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling delicate components and performing intricate repairs.
