We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Desktop Publishing (DTP) Operator to join our team in Trivandrum. The DTP Operator will be responsible for creating and formatting various types of documents, including brochures, flyers, posters, manuals, and other print materials, using desktop publishing software. This role requires a strong eye for design, proficiency in DTP tools, and the ability to work efficiently to meet project deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Document Creation and Formatting: Use desktop publishing software, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or QuarkXPress, to create and format documents according to client specifications and design guidelines. Design and layout text, images, graphics, and other visual elements to create visually appealing and professional-looking documents. Ensure consistency in formatting, layout, and typography across all documents to maintain brand identity and visual standards. Graphic Design: Create and edit graphics, illustrations, charts, and diagrams to enhance the visual appeal and effectiveness of documents. Select appropriate images, icons, and other visual elements to complement written content and convey key messages effectively. Proofreading and Quality Assurance: Review and proofread documents for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and formatting errors before finalizing and printing. Conduct quality checks to ensure that all elements of the document are properly aligned, sized, and positioned according to specifications. File Management and Organization: Organize and maintain digital files, folders, and project assets in a structured and accessible manner for easy retrieval and reference. Archive completed projects and assets according to established file management procedures to ensure data integrity and security. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with clients, project managers, graphic designers, and other team members to understand project requirements, deadlines, and deliverables. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify expectations, provide updates on project status, and address any concerns or issues. Qualifications: Diploma or certification in Graphic Design, Desktop Publishing, or related field. Proven experience (X years) as a DTP Operator, Graphic Designer, or similar role, preferably in a printing press, advertising agency, or publishing environment. Proficiency in desktop publishing software, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, or CorelDRAW. Strong design skills, with a keen eye for layout, typography, color theory, and composition. Knowledge of printing processes, file formats, and color management principles. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document formatting and proofreading. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and clients. Creativity and problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and find innovative solutions. Adaptability and willingness to learn new software tools and techniques as needed.
