We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacist to join our team in Trivandrum. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical care to patients, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently according to legal and ethical standards. Review prescriptions for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of medication therapy. Provide medication counseling and education to patients on proper medication use, dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Monitor patient medication profiles for drug interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic duplications. Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication dispensing, patient information, and pharmaceutical inventory. Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines including state and federal laws, pharmacy policies, and procedures. Perform medication therapy management activities such as medication reconciliation, medication reviews, and adherence monitoring. Participate in pharmacy quality improvement initiatives, medication safety programs, and continuing education activities. Qualifications: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from an accredited institution. Valid Pharmacist license from the Kerala State Pharmacy Council. Proven experience (X years) working as a Pharmacist in a retail pharmacy or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacology, and pharmacotherapy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and documentation. Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and computer applications. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality care.
