We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems, including refrigerators, freezers, and other cooling equipment. Responsibilities: Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various types of refrigeration systems, including residential and commercial refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, and ice machines. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating moving parts, and replacing worn-out components, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of refrigeration equipment. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration problems in cooling systems using diagnostic tools, gauges, meters, and technical manuals, and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Inspect refrigeration systems for leaks, blockages, corrosion, or other defects, and recommend repairs or replacement of parts/components as needed to restore functionality and safety. Test refrigeration equipment for proper operation, temperature control, and pressure levels, and make adjustments to thermostats, defrost timers, and other controls to maintain desired temperatures. Install and connect refrigeration components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and refrigerant lines, following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines. Ensure compliance with refrigerant handling regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards, including proper recovery, recycling, and disposal of refrigerants, and adherence to electrical codes and safety protocols. Provide technical support and assistance to customers, explaining repair options, providing estimates, and recommending preventive maintenance measures to extend the lifespan of refrigeration equipment. Maintain accurate records of service calls, work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job, using service reports, work orders, and digital tracking systems. Keep abreast of new technologies, tools, and techniques in refrigeration industry, attending training sessions, workshops, and certification programs as needed to enhance skills and knowledge. Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and vendors to coordinate installations, repairs, and maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction. Uphold company values, policies, and ethical standards in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or diploma in refrigeration technology preferred. Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or HVAC/R Technician, with a minimum of [insert number of years] years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and equipment, including refrigeration cycles, electrical circuits, and mechanical systems.
