We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwashing Staff to join our kitchen team and ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of our dishes and utensils. Responsibilities: Operate commercial dishwashing machines to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. Sort and stack dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware in designated areas for washing. Pre-rinse dishes and remove food residue and debris before loading them into the dishwasher. Load and unload dish racks and trays from the dishwasher, ensuring proper placement and organization. Monitor dishwasher operation and water temperature to maintain effective cleaning and sanitation standards. Inspect cleaned dishes and utensils for cleanliness and hygiene, and rewash or hand wash items as needed. Hand wash delicate or heavily soiled items that cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher. Empty and clean dishwasher filters, traps, and drain baskets regularly to prevent clogs and ensure optimal performance. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including dish racks, sinks, and countertops. Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage properly and maintain cleanliness in garbage disposal areas. Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables, washing produce, and portioning ingredients, as needed. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the kitchen and dishwashing area. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or food service establishment. Ability to operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness to ensure dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized. Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy trays and dish racks. Team player attitude and willingness to collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members. Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions from supervisors and kitchen managers. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and tasks. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
