We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Captain to lead our service team. Responsibilities: Supervise and oversee all front-of-house activities during service hours, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences. Welcome and greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus and beverage lists. Assist guests in making menu selections, answering questions about dishes and beverages, and offering recommendations based on their preferences. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, entering them into the POS system. Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of food and drinks. Monitor the progress of service, ensuring that all guest needs are met promptly and courteously. Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure proper timing of courses and beverages. Anticipate and address guest needs and requests, resolving any issues or complaints to ensure guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Train and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on service standards, procedures, and guest interactions. Conduct pre-service briefings and meetings with service staff to communicate daily specials, menu changes, and service expectations. Assist in inventory management, stock replenishment, and ordering of supplies as needed. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, as well as restaurant policies and procedures. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely, reconciling sales at the end of each shift. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred. Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain or similar supervisory role in a high-volume restaurant. Excellent knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks effectively. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with guests and team members. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and resolve conflicts or issues calmly and professionally. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer skills. Fluent in English and Malayalam; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
