Job Title: CCTV Technician Location: Kottayam, Kerala Job Description: As a CCTV Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients in Kottayam. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and safety of premises by deploying and maintaining CCTV surveillance equipment effectively. Responsibilities: Install CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, cables, and related equipment, at client sites according to specifications and industry standards. Conduct site surveys to assess the layout, environment, and security requirements of the premises, and recommend optimal placement of CCTV cameras. Configure CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and network equipment to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the surveillance system. Test and calibrate CCTV equipment to verify proper operation, image quality, and coverage areas, making adjustments as necessary. Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues with CCTV systems, including cameras, recording devices, and network connectivity. Repair or replace faulty components, cables, or connectors in CCTV systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system reliability. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on CCTV equipment, such as cleaning lenses, checking connections, and updating firmware/software. Provide technical support and assistance to clients, including training on CCTV system operation, troubleshooting guidance, and remote support. Document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities accurately, including equipment inventory, service reports, and customer interactions. Stay updated on advancements in CCTV technology, industry standards, and regulations, and participate in training programs or workshops as required. Requirements: Diploma or certification in electronic security systems, electrical engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a CCTV technician or installer, with hands-on experience in CCTV system installation, maintenance, and repair. Strong technical knowledge of CCTV equipment, including cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and network infrastructure. Familiarity with CCTV software applications and video management systems for remote viewing, recording, and playback. Proficiency in using CCTV installation tools and equipment, such as drills, cable testers, crimping tools, and ladder. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing and resolving CCTV system issues. Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Physical stamina and dexterity to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites within Kottayam and surrounding areas. Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed to meet project deadlines or client requirements.
