As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive hygienically prepared meals and a pleasant dining experience.Your primary goal will be to ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards, contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen and the overall success of our establishment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities: Operate commercial dishwashing equipment, such as dishwashers, pot washers, and glass washers, according to established procedures and safety guidelines. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, utensils, and cooking equipment before loading them into the dishwasher. Load and unload dish racks, trays, and baskets in an organized manner to maximize efficiency and minimize breakage. Use appropriate detergents, sanitizers, and cleaning agents to wash and sanitize dishes and utensils thoroughly. Monitor dishwasher machines during operation, ensuring that they are functioning properly and maintaining appropriate water temperatures. Scrub pots, pans, and other cooking equipment by hand as needed to remove stubborn food residue and grease. Empty and clean garbage bins, compost bins, and recycling containers regularly to maintain cleanliness and prevent odors. Sweep and mop kitchen floors, wipe down countertops, and clean sinks and drains to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables, washing produce, and portioning ingredients, as needed. Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety. Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling materials properly, following waste management guidelines and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including storage shelves, racks, and work surfaces. Assist with inventory management by keeping track of dishwashing supplies and notifying the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment. Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow in the kitchen. Requirements: Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, lift, and carry heavy objects. Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning and sanitizing dishes and kitchen equipment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively in Malayalam or English. Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and senior staff members.
