Assist guests in making menu selections, answering questions about dishes, ingredients, and preparation methods, and offering suggestions based on their preferences and dietary restrictions. Take and accurately record food and beverage orders from guests, using order-taking devices or handwritten tickets, and enter orders into the POS system promptly. Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of food and drinks to guests' tables, and communicate any special requests or modifications. Serve food and beverages to guests with precision and care, following established service standards, presentation guidelines, and portion sizes to enhance the dining experience. Monitor guests' dining experiences, anticipate their needs, and respond promptly to requests for additional items, refills, or assistance, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the meal. Check in with guests periodically to ensure their comfort, address any concerns or issues, and solicit feedback on their dining experience, thanking them for their patronage. Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next seating, removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils, and refreshing table settings and linens as needed. Process guest payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and electronic payments, and provide receipts promptly, thanking guests for their visit and inviting them to return. Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate service flow, ensure order accuracy, and expedite food and beverage delivery during peak dining periods. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including tables, chairs, floors, and service stations, by performing ongoing cleaning and sanitization tasks as needed. Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the dining area, stocking supplies, and performing end-of-shift cleaning and reconciliation tasks, to prepare for the next service period. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of food and beverages, sanitation procedures, and personal hygiene practices, to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Uphold company policies, procedures, and customer service standards, including dress code, grooming guidelines, and service protocols, to represent the restaurant professionally. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, supporting team members, communicating effectively, and contributing to a culture of hospitality and teamwork. Requirements: Previous experience as a waiter, server, or food service attendant in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment preferred but not required. Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including table settings, menu descriptions, and proper serving etiquette. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with guests of diverse backgrounds and preferences. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to a harmonious work environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the restaurant's operating hours and service schedule. Physical stamina and endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays, and lift moderate loads, maintaining composure and professionalism throughout the shift. Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions, processing payments, and using POS systems or cash registers. Neat and presentable appearance, with good personal hygiene, grooming standards, and adherence to uniform guidelines. Fluency in Malayalam; proficiency in English or other languages is a plus.
