As part of our production team, we are seeking skilled and experienced Stitching Operators to join us in producing top-notch garments with precision and attention to detail.You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to the efficient and timely production of garments while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship and quality. Responsibilities: Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch garment components together, following sewing patterns, instructions, and quality guidelines. Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and sewing patterns to determine the type of stitches, seams, and techniques required for each garment. Set up sewing machines and equipment, including threading needles, adjusting tension settings, and changing machine attachments, to prepare for production runs. Perform test stitches and make adjustments to machine settings as needed to ensure proper stitch formation, thread tension, and seam quality. Monitor sewing operations to detect defects, fabric flaws, or stitching errors, and make corrections or adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards. Work with a variety of fabrics, materials, and garment styles, including woven fabrics, knits, and specialty fabrics, ensuring appropriate handling and stitching techniques for each material type. Trim excess threads, remove basting stitches, and finish garment edges using sergers, overlock machines, or other finishing equipment. Inspect finished garments for quality defects, such as uneven stitches, loose threads, or fabric puckering, and perform final quality checks before garments are packaged for shipment. Collaborate with supervisors, quality control inspectors, and other team members to address production issues, resolve quality concerns, and meet production targets. Follow safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to machine safety guidelines, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the stitching area, including sewing stations, machines, and work surfaces, and participate in routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Record production data, including quantities produced, time spent on each task, and any quality issues or machine malfunctions, for reporting and tracking purposes. Assist in training and mentoring new stitching operators, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge of garment assembly techniques. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices. Contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvements, workflow optimizations, and cost-saving initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency in garment production. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a stitching operator or sewing machine operator in a textile manufacturing or garment production environment. Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines, including single-needle, double-needle, and overlock machines, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Knowledge of garment construction techniques, sewing methods, and stitching processes, with the ability to read and interpret sewing patterns and specifications. Attention to detail and manual dexterity, with the ability to work with precision and maintain consistent stitch quality throughout the production process. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve production goals and deliver high-quality garments on schedule. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift heavy fabric rolls or garment pieces as needed. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, as required to meet production deadlines and customer demand. Strong work ethic and reliability, with a commitment to upholding quality standards, productivity targets, and safety protocols.
