As part of our team, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and service. You will work closely with the housekeeping manager to implement policies, procedures, and training programs to achieve excellence in housekeeping services and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housekeepers, and laundry personnel, to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations. Assign daily cleaning tasks, schedules, and priorities to housekeeping staff, ensuring timely completion of assigned duties and adherence to quality standards. Train new housekeeping employees on cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with hotel standards. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, amenities, and equipment, and place orders for replenishment as needed. Coordinate with the front desk, maintenance, and other departments to prioritize room assignments, address guest requests, and resolve housekeeping-related issues. Handle guest complaints, inquiries, and special requests promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction and retention. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials and adherence to cleaning protocols. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and recognize achievements of housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct among housekeeping staff, ensuring professionalism, integrity, and teamwork. Assist in the development and implementation of housekeeping budgets, goals, and objectives, and monitor expenses and productivity to achieve targets. Participate in regular meetings, training sessions, and workshops to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in housekeeping. Conduct regular training sessions and workshops for housekeeping staff on topics such as cleaning techniques, customer service skills, and safety procedures. Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including room occupancy, cleaning schedules, inventory levels, and staff attendance. Collaborate with the human resources department on recruitment, selection, and retention of housekeeping staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and performance standards. Requirements: Diploma or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or a related field. Proven experience (X years) in housekeeping or janitorial roles, with at least (X years) of supervisory experience in a hotel or hospitality setting. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team of housekeeping staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and vendors. Thorough knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safety protocols, with attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, inventory management, and record-keeping. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required. Fluency in Malayalam and English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues and implement solutions effectively. Knowledge of hotel operations, guest service principles, and industry trends in hospitality and housekeeping.
