Hardware and Network Technician Job Opening in Kozhikode

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Hardware and Network Technician to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of IT systems, as well as providing technical support and assistance to end-users. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, scanners, and other peripherals. Set up and configure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and cabling systems, to ensure connectivity and performance. Perform hardware and software upgrades, patches, and installations to maintain system compatibility and security. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions. Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and security threats, identifying and addressing issues proactively to maintain optimal network operations. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and offering guidance on the use of IT systems and applications. Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and security audits, to ensure the integrity and reliability of IT infrastructure. Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, software licenses, and network configurations, and track service requests and resolutions using designated systems or software. Collaborate with other IT staff, including system administrators, network engineers, and helpdesk support technicians, to troubleshoot complex issues and implement system enhancements. Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in hardware and network technology, and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security standards, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and industry guidelines. Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics, such as hardware usage, software applications, and network security awareness. Requirements: Diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience (X years) as a hardware technician, network technician, or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in computer hardware, peripherals, and networking. Strong knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Familiarity with network infrastructure components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and structured cabling systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, diagnosing technical problems, and implementing solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are a plus. Fluency in Malayalam and English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
