As part of our expansion, we are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Computer Technician to join our team.You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of computer networks and systems, diagnosing technical issues, and providing timely solutions to meet our clients' IT needs. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and networking equipment. Set up and maintain computer networks, including local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), ensuring connectivity, security, and performance. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patches, backups, and virus scans, to ensure the security and reliability of computer systems. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and offering guidance on the use of computer systems and applications. Install and configure operating systems, software applications, and drivers, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and equipment warranties, and track service requests and resolutions using designated systems or software. Collaborate with other IT staff, including network administrators, system administrators, and helpdesk support technicians, to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize system performance. Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT support and services, and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security standards, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and industry guidelines. Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics, such as software applications, security awareness, and best practices for using technology. Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and stakeholders, providing updates on project statuses, technical issues, and resolution timelines. Requirements: Diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience (X years) as a computer technician or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in computer hardware, software, and networking. Strong knowledge of computer systems, operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications. Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, diagnosing technical problems, and implementing solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus. Fluency in Malayalam and English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
