You will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Below are the key responsibilities associated with this role: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the organization's financial performance. Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Generate periodic financial reports for management, shareholders, and regulatory authorities. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management. Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement. Prepare financial models and projections to support strategic decision-making. General Accounting and Bookkeeping: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data by implementing robust internal controls and reconciliation procedures. Review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Tax Compliance and Reporting: Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other statutory filings. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization's tax position. Assist in tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency and minimize tax liabilities. Audit and Compliance: Facilitate internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed. Implement recommendations from auditors to strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and company policies. Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the accounting team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) preferred. Proven experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 5 years of experience in a senior accounting position. Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation laws. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify key insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
