Location: Palakkad, Kerala Job Description: As a Civil Draughtsman in Palakkad, your primary responsibility will be to prepare detailed technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects using computer-aided design (CAD) software and traditional drafting techniques. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to translate design concepts into accurate and precise drawings. Below are the key responsibilities associated with this role: Drafting and Designing: Utilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD) to create 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and schematics for various civil engineering projects, including buildings, roads, bridges, and infrastructure systems. Interpret rough sketches, specifications, and design data provided by engineers and architects to produce detailed drawings and plans. Ensure drawings are dimensionally accurate, properly scaled, and comply with relevant industry standards and codes. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed plans, sections, elevations, and construction details based on project requirements and design specifications. Generate material lists, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates to support project planning and procurement activities. Maintain accurate records of drawing revisions, annotations, and project documentation for future reference. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project objectives, constraints, and deadlines. Participate in design review meetings and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and finalize drawings. Coordinate with other design disciplines to ensure integration and coordination of various design components. Solid understanding of engineering principles, drawing standards, and construction practices. Attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings and documentation.
