Job Title: Civil AutoCAD Designer Location: Palakkad, Kerala Job Description: As a Civil AutoCAD Designer in Palakkad, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering drawings and plans using AutoCAD software for various civil engineering projects. Your primary duties will involve collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to produce accurate and comprehensive designs that meet project requirements and specifications. Below are the key responsibilities associated with this role: Drafting and Designing: Utilize AutoCAD software to create 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and models for civil engineering projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, and infrastructure systems. Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design requirements to develop detailed drawings and plans. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant standards and codes in all drawings produced. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with civil engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project objectives, constraints, and timelines. Participate in design review meetings and communicate effectively with team members to address design issues and modifications as needed. Coordinate with other design disciplines (structural, electrical, mechanical, etc.) to integrate their requirements into the overall design. Documentation and Revision Control: Maintain organized project files and documentation, including drawing revisions, design changes, and as-built drawings. Ensure drawings are properly labeled, annotated, and archived for easy retrieval and reference. Implement and adhere to company standards and protocols for drawing management and version control. Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance the overall design workflow. Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Proven experience as an AutoCAD Designer, preferably in the civil engineering or construction industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD software, including 2D drafting and 3D modeling capabilities. Strong understanding of engineering principles, drawing standards, and construction practices. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality drawings.
