As an Accountant in Vadakkanchery, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities: Financial Recording and Reporting: Record and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial transactions in the accounting system, including purchases, sales, expenses, and payments. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, verifying transactions, and making timely payments to suppliers and vendors. Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments from customers, follow up on outstanding invoices, and reconcile accounts as needed. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, working closely with management to align financial goals with business objectives. Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, trends, and performance indicators to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth. Prepare financial reports and presentations to communicate key findings and insights to stakeholders, including management and board members. Taxation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with taxation laws and regulations, including GST, income tax, and other statutory requirements. Prepare and file tax returns, maintain tax records, and respond to inquiries from tax authorities as necessary. Auditing and Internal Controls: Assist in coordinating internal and external audits, providing support to auditors and ensuring compliance with audit requirements. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information. Maintain payroll records, including employee salaries, benefits, taxes, and deductions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting. Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with taxation laws and regulations in India. Professional certification such as CA, CMA, or ACCA is a plus.
