Responsibilities: Electrical System Diagnosis: Diagnose electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment, such as multimeters, circuit testers, and scan tools, to identify faults in wiring, circuits, sensors, switches, and electronic control units (ECUs). Wiring Repairs and Installation: Repair or replace damaged or faulty wiring harnesses, connectors, and terminals, and install new electrical components, such as lighting systems, ignition systems, audio systems, alarms, and accessories, according to manufacturer specifications and wiring diagrams. Battery Maintenance and Charging: Test and inspect vehicle batteries, alternators, and starter motors to assess their condition, perform battery charging and testing procedures, and replace defective components to ensure reliable starting and electrical power supply. Electronic Systems Repair: Diagnose and repair electronic systems and modules, including engine management systems, ABS systems, airbag systems, and climate control systems, to resolve malfunctions and restore proper functionality. Lighting Systems: Inspect, repair, and replace vehicle lighting systems, including headlights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights, and interior lights, and adjust lighting angles and alignment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and optimal visibility. Accessory Installation: Install aftermarket electrical accessories, such as audio systems, navigation systems, security systems, and power accessories, ensuring proper wiring, mounting, and integration with vehicle systems. Electrical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, such as short circuits, voltage drops, intermittent faults, and communication failures between electronic modules, using wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and diagnostic software. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for working with electrical systems, including proper handling of electrical tools, equipment, and hazardous materials, and maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize risks and hazards. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. Vocational training or certification in automotive electrical systems or a related field is preferred. Experience: Proven experience as an Automobile Electrician or Automotive Electrical Technician, with hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues in vehicles. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams, and proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults. Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex electrical problems, identify root causes, and develop effective repair strategies to resolve issues efficiently. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and precision in performing electrical repairs, wiring installations, and testing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
