Patient Registration: Collect patient information, including personal details, medical history, and insurance information, and enter it accurately into the electronic medical records system. Insurance Verification: Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility, obtaining necessary authorizations and referrals as required by insurance providers. Billing and Payment Processing: Process patient payments, co-pays, and deductibles accurately, providing receipts and explanations of benefits as needed. Answering Phone Calls: Handle incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently, addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and routing calls to the appropriate department or staff member. Medical Records Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Patient Check-In and Check-Out: Assist patients with the check-in process upon arrival, verifying demographic information and updating records, and facilitate the check-out process by providing follow-up appointments and necessary paperwork. Responding to Queries: Address patient inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and courteously, providing accurate information and assistance to resolve issues effectively. Office Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the front office area, including the waiting room, reception desk, and administrative workspaces. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. Additional certification or training in office administration or customer service is a plus. Experience: Previous experience in a front office or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting, is desirable but not mandatory. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Malayalam, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
