Prescription Verification: Verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and validity before dispensing medications, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies, to maintain adequate stock levels and prevent shortages. Compounding: Prepare compounded medications and specialty formulations according to physician orders and patient-specific requirements, adhering to safety and quality standards. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, quality assurance standards, and best practices in pharmaceutical care. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prescription orders, dispensing activities, patient profiles, and medication histories in pharmacy software systems. Adverse Event Reporting: Report adverse drug reactions, medication errors, and other patient safety concerns to appropriate regulatory agencies and healthcare providers as required. Patient Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for patients' medication-related needs and rights, addressing concerns, and facilitating access to healthcare resources and support services. Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from a recognized institution. Licensure: Valid Pharmacist license issued by the Kerala State Pharmacy Council. Experience: Previous experience working as a Pharmacist in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or community pharmacy. Knowledge: Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical principles, drug pharmacology, and pharmacy laws and regulations. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and documentation to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance. Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using pharmacy software systems and computer applications for prescription processing and inventory management.
