Responsibilities: Develop and execute a diverse menu of authentic North Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori specialties, breads, appetizers, and desserts, showcasing regional flavors and culinary techniques. Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including Sous Chefs, Cooks, and Kitchen Assistants, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations and culinary excellence. Plan and organize food preparation tasks, including ingredient sourcing, menu planning, recipe development, portioning, and cooking methods, to meet quality standards and customer expectations. Monitor kitchen operations, including food production, recipe execution, and presentation, to maintain consistency, freshness, and adherence to culinary standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and kitchen hygiene practices, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with purchasing and procurement staff to manage inventory levels, control costs, and optimize ingredient sourcing and supply chain management. Experiment with new ingredients, flavors, and cooking techniques, incorporating innovative twists and modern interpretations into traditional North Indian dishes. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a North Indian Chef, Executive Chef, or Head Chef in a reputable restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment, with a minimum of 5-7 years of culinary experience specializing in North Indian cuisine. In-depth knowledge of North Indian culinary traditions, regional variations, ingredients, spices, cooking techniques, and presentation styles. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering teamwork, creativity, and excellence in culinary execution. Exceptional culinary skills and creativity, with a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes that delight and impress guests. Familiarity with kitchen management software, inventory management systems, and culinary technology tools for menu planning, recipe costing, and performance analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and management to achieve culinary goals and business objectives.
