Responsibilities: Plan, develop, and execute a diverse menu of authentic South Indian dishes, including breakfast items, snacks, vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, rice-based dishes, and desserts. Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including Sous Chefs, Cooks, and Kitchen Assistants, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations and teamwork. Manage all aspects of food preparation, including ingredient selection, recipe development, portioning, cooking techniques, and presentation methods, adhering to culinary standards. Ensure the freshness, quality, and consistency of food products by sourcing the finest ingredients, maintaining proper storage conditions, and minimizing waste. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and hygiene standards in the kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Monitor kitchen equipment and appliances, ensuring proper functioning, maintenance, and repair as needed, to support uninterrupted kitchen operations. Proven experience as a South Indian Chef, Executive Chef, or Head Chef in a reputable restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment, with a minimum of 5-7 years of culinary experience, specializing in South Indian cuisine. In-depth knowledge of South Indian culinary traditions, regional variations, ingredients, spices, cooking techniques, and presentation styles. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering teamwork, creativity, and excellence in culinary execution. Exceptional culinary skills and creativity, with a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes that delight and impress guests.
