We are seeking an experienced and professional Restaurant Captain to lead our service team in Kozhikode. The Restaurant Captain will be responsible for overseeing dining operations, managing service staff, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate dining room operations, ensuring smooth service flow, efficient table turnover, and timely delivery of food and beverage orders to guests. Assign duties and responsibilities to service staff, including Waiters, Servers, and Hosts, and provide guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent service excellence. Monitor dining areas to maintain cleanliness, organization, and ambiance, including table settings, lighting, decor, and overall presentation standards. Greet guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and assist with seating arrangements, providing menus, specials, or promotions, and answering any questions or inquiries. Oversee the order-taking process, ensuring accuracy in recording guest preferences, special requests, and dietary restrictions, and inputting orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system. Coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other departments to ensure seamless communication, accurate order preparation, and timely delivery of food and beverages. Anticipate guest needs and preferences, proactively addressing concerns, accommodating requests, and resolving any issues or complaints promptly and professionally. Monitor guest satisfaction levels through regular interaction, feedback collection, and observation of service interactions, taking proactive steps to enhance guest experiences. Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and table assignments, optimizing seating capacity, and minimizing wait times to maximize restaurant revenue and guest satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage offerings, providing recommendations, upselling opportunities, and enhancing the overall dining experience for guests. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in hospitality management, hotel administration, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain, Head Waiter, or similar leadership role in a fine dining restaurant, upscale hotel, or hospitality establishment. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor service staff to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve performance goals. Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English and Malayalam, and the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management. Exceptional customer service orientation and a genuine passion for hospitality, with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences and exceeding guest expectations. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, delegate tasks, and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, etiquette, and protocols, as well as familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and restaurant management software. Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest complaints or service issues diplomatically, finding effective resolutions and maintaining guest satisfaction.
