Facilitate class discussions, engage students in interactive learning activities, and provide real-world examples to illustrate accounting concepts and principles. Assign and grade coursework, projects, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback and assessment to students to support their learning and development. Mentor and advise students on academic matters, career planning, and professional development opportunities in the field of accounting. Stay updated on changes and developments in accounting standards, regulations, and practices, incorporating relevant updates into course content and teaching materials. Provide academic support and guidance to students outside of class hours, including office hours, tutoring sessions, and academic counseling. Collaborate with other faculty members, academic departments, and administrative staff to coordinate curriculum delivery, assessment activities, and student support services. Participate in faculty meetings, departmental committees, and professional development activities to contribute to the continuous improvement of academic programs and teaching methodologies. Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with institutional policies and procedures. Requirements: Master's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field from a recognized institution. A Ph.D. in accounting or a relevant discipline is preferred. Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CA (Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant), is highly desirable. Previous teaching experience in accounting at the undergraduate or graduate level, preferably in a higher education institution or professional training institute. Deep knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices, with expertise in financial reporting, taxation, auditing, and managerial accounting. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex accounting concepts in a clear and engaging manner to students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Strong interpersonal skills and a student-centered approach to teaching, with a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Proficiency in instructional technology and educational tools for delivering online or blended learning experiences is advantageous.
