As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and guests at our establishment in Wayanad. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing inquiries, and performing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Greeting and Welcoming Guests: Welcome visitors and guests with a warm and friendly demeanor upon their arrival. Provide information about the organization, its facilities, and available services. Answering Inquiries: Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries from guests, clients, and the general public promptly and professionally. Direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member and provide accurate information as needed. Check-In and Check-Out: Assist guests with the check-in and check-out process, including verifying reservations, processing payments, and issuing room keys. Maintain accurate records of guest information, room assignments, and payment transactions. Reservations and Bookings: Assist guests with making reservations, bookings, or inquiries about room availability and rates. Input reservation details into the computerized reservation system and confirm bookings with guests. Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry. Manage the reception area, including maintaining cleanliness, organizing reading materials, and replenishing supplies. Security and Safety: Monitor the lobby area and ensure the security and safety of guests and visitors. Follow established procedures for handling emergencies, security incidents, or guest complaints. Customer Service: Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of guests. Provide personalized assistance and recommendations to enhance the guest experience. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional certification in hospitality or customer service is a plus. Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk agent, or in a customer service role preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English and Malayalam. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact courteously and effectively with guests, colleagues, and vendors. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office applications and email correspondence. Professional appearance and demeanor, with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
