As a Laptop Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining laptop computers and related peripherals. Your role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing upgrades, and providing technical support to customers. Responsibilities: Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose hardware and software issues in laptop computers, including malfunctioning components, system errors, and performance issues. Hardware Repair and Upgrades: Perform hardware repairs and replacements on laptops, including replacing damaged screens, keyboards, batteries, and other components. Install hardware upgrades, such as additional RAM, storage drives, and expansion cards, to improve laptop performance and functionality. Software Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and update operating systems, device drivers, and software applications on laptops. Troubleshoot software issues, remove malware, and reinstall operating systems as needed to resolve system errors and optimize performance. Data Backup and Recovery: Assist customers in backing up and restoring data on laptops to prevent data loss during repairs or system upgrades. Perform data recovery tasks, retrieve lost or corrupted files, and restore system functionality after hardware or software failures. Customer Support: Interact with customers to understand their laptop issues, provide repair estimates, and communicate repair status updates. Offer technical advice and recommendations to customers regarding laptop maintenance, software updates, and security best practices. Quality Control and Testing: Conduct functional tests and quality inspections on repaired laptops to ensure proper operation and reliability. Verify that all repaired laptops meet quality standards and perform according to manufacturer specifications before returning them to customers. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or certification in Computer Hardware Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Laptop Technician or in laptop repair and technical support roles. Strong knowledge of laptop hardware components, architecture, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting on Windows and macOS platforms. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
