As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in our facilities to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for employees, customers, and visitors. Your primary duties include cleaning and sanitizing various areas, such as offices, restrooms, common areas, and workspaces. This position requires attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to cleaning tasks. Responsibilities: General Cleaning Tasks: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, lobbies, and other public areas to remove dust, debris, and dirt. Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment, including desks, chairs, shelves, and window sills. Wipe down surfaces, such as countertops, tables, and door handles, using appropriate cleaning solutions and disinfectants. Empty trash cans and recycling bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste in designated containers. Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and countertops, using disinfectants and cleaning agents. Refill soap dispensers, hand sanitizer stations, and paper towel holders as needed. Restock restroom supplies, such as toilet paper, hand towels, and hand soap, to ensure availability for users. Floor Care: Scrub and sanitize restroom floors, tile floors, and other hard surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals. Strip and wax floors periodically to maintain shine and protect surfaces from wear and tear. Shampoo carpets and upholstery as needed to remove stains and odors and maintain cleanliness. Special Cleaning Projects: Assist with deep cleaning tasks, such as window washing, wall washing, and high dusting, on a scheduled or as-needed basis. Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and storage areas, ensuring that they are well-maintained and organized. Assist with setting up and cleaning up for special events, meetings, or functions held on-site. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and safety goggles, when performing cleaning tasks. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage to property to supervisors promptly. Qualifications and Skills: No specific educational qualifications are required; a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred. Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or housekeeping is advantageous but not required. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment commonly used in commercial or institutional settings. Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
