As an Electrician Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in our facility. Responsibilities: Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, and equipment according to electrical codes and regulations. Troubleshoot electrical problems and diagnose issues with circuits, transformers, motors, and other electrical components. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential hazards or malfunctions. Electrical System Upgrades: Upgrade or modify existing electrical systems to improve efficiency, reliability, or safety. Install new electrical equipment or components, such as circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels, as needed. Coordinate with other departments or contractors to plan and execute electrical upgrades or renovations. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations, including proper grounding, insulation, and equipment maintenance. Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent electrical hazards and accidents in the workplace. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify and address safety risks. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including installation, repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Document equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and other technical information for reference and future maintenance. Report any issues, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the supervisor or facilities management team promptly. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other maintenance staff, contractors, and supervisors to schedule and prioritize electrical work. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as an electrician technician, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting. Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and electrical codes and regulations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair electrical issues. Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and tools, such as multimeters, voltage testers, and cable cutters.
