As a Pantry Man, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the pantry area, and ensuring that all pantry supplies are adequately stocked. Your role is essential in supporting kitchen operations and delivering high-quality food and beverage items to guests. This position requires attention to detail, basic culinary skills, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Assist kitchen staff in preparing ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and assembling food items. Follow recipes and instructions provided by chefs to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation. Prepare salads, sandwiches, appetizers, and other pantry items according to established standards. Beverage Preparation: Prepare beverages such as coffee, tea, juices, and cocktails as requested by guests or as part of the menu offerings. Ensure that beverages are prepared accurately and presented attractively, with attention to detail in garnishing and serving. Stocking and Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of pantry supplies, including food ingredients, beverages, condiments, and disposable items. Replenish pantry supplies as needed, ensuring that stock levels are maintained to support kitchen operations. Rotate stock and check for expiration dates to ensure freshness and quality of ingredients. Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pantry area, including countertops, equipment, utensils, and storage shelves. Clean and sanitize equipment and utensils after each use to prevent contamination and maintain hygiene standards. Dispose of waste and food scraps properly and in accordance with established procedures. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to coordinate food and beverage preparation and service. Assist in coordinating with servers to ensure that food and beverage orders are delivered to guests in a timely manner. Support colleagues in various kitchen tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications and Skills: Prior experience in a kitchen or pantry role is preferred but not required. Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques. Attention to detail and accuracy in following recipes and instructions. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
