Job Description: As a Civil Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction activities at various project sites in Thamarassery. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Supervising construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Managing and coordinating daily activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors. Monitoring progress and reporting on project status to the project manager, highlighting any issues or delays. Conducting regular inspections to identify defects, deviations from plans, and ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site. Managing material and equipment deliveries, inventory, and usage to avoid delays and minimize waste. Collaborating with engineers and architects to resolve technical issues and ensure design specifications are followed accurately. Maintaining accurate records of daily activities, including labor hours, equipment usage, and materials consumed. Providing leadership, guidance, and training to construction crews to enhance productivity and efficiency. Coordinating with local authorities and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction activities. Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Proven experience as a Civil Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry. Sound knowledge of civil engineering principles, building codes, and construction techniques. Familiarity with construction equipment, tools, and materials. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and project management software. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different project sites as required. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in construction management or relevant field. Prior experience working on construction projects in Thamarassery or the surrounding area. Knowledge of local building regulations and permitting processes.
