As a CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing CCTV systems for surveillance and security purposes. Your role involves configuring cameras, DVRs (Digital Video Recorders), NVRs (Network Video Recorders), and other related equipment, as well as troubleshooting system issues and providing technical support to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience with CCTV systems, and a thorough understanding of security and surveillance principles. Key Responsibilities: CCTV System Installation: Install and configure CCTV cameras, lenses, cables, power supplies, and other necessary components at client premises, ensuring proper placement and alignment for optimal coverage and visibility. Set up DVRs, NVRs, and network switches to connect cameras and enable remote monitoring and recording capabilities. System Configuration and Testing: Configure camera settings, recording schedules, motion detection, and alarm triggers using CCTV software or web-based interfaces. Conduct system tests and quality assurance checks to verify camera functionality, video recording, playback, and remote access features. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting CCTV systems, such as camera malfunctions, video loss, image distortion, network connectivity problems, and DVR/NVR errors. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning camera lenses, checking cable connections, updating firmware, and replacing faulty components as needed. Customer Support and Training: Provide technical support and assistance to clients regarding CCTV system operation, troubleshooting procedures, and software usage. Offer training sessions or demonstrations to educate clients on how to use and maintain their CCTV systems effectively. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of CCTV installations, service calls, repairs, and equipment inventory, documenting work performed and any replacement parts used. Prepare detailed reports, service logs, and completion certificates for clients and internal records. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Security Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or similar role, with hands-on experience in CCTV system installation, configuration, and maintenance. Strong knowledge of CCTV equipment, including analog and IP cameras, DVRs, NVRs, cables, connectors, and power supplies. Familiarity with CCTV software platforms, video management systems (VMS), and network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS). Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Additional Information: This is typically a full-time position based in Angamaly, Kerala. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites for installations and service calls. Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate client schedules and emergency repair requests.
