As a member of the food and beverage service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to patrons at our establishment in Kannur. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service in a friendly and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Customer Interaction: Welcome guests warmly upon their arrival, escort them to their tables, and present menus. Assist guests in making menu selections, providing recommendations, and accommodating special requests or dietary restrictions. Order Taking and Processing: Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using a handheld device or notepad to record orders and transmit them to the kitchen or bar. Relay orders to the kitchen or bar staff, ensuring accurate preparation and timely delivery of items to guests' tables. Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to guests, following proper service etiquette and presentation standards. Monitor tables for guest needs, including refills on drinks, additional condiments, or assistance with menu inquiries. Upselling and Promotion: Promote specials, featured menu items, and upsell opportunities to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue. Suggest wine pairings, appetizers, desserts, or add-on items to complement guests' meal selections. Table Maintenance: Clear tables promptly after guests finish their meals, removing used dishes, utensils, and napkins. Reset tables for new guests, ensuring cleanliness, proper table settings, and availability of necessary amenities. Payment Handling: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, and provide change or receipts as needed. Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payment transactions securely and professionally. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations and coordinated service throughout the dining area. Communicate any guest requests, concerns, or feedback to supervisors or management for resolution. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in food and beverage service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues. Strong customer service orientation and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Basic math skills for processing orders, calculating bills, and handling payments accurately. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the operational needs of the restaurant. Physical stamina and endurance to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods during shifts. Additional Information: Training on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards may be provided to new hires.
