As a Four Wheeler Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automobiles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role involves inspecting vehicle systems, performing mechanical repairs, and conducting routine maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality automotive services. Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Diagnosis and Inspection: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests and inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in four-wheeled vehicles. Use diagnostic equipment, such as scan tools, oscilloscopes, and meters, to analyze vehicle systems and pinpoint sources of malfunctions. Repair and Maintenance Services: Perform mechanical repairs and component replacements on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, including wiring harnesses, sensors, ignition systems, and onboard computers. Routine Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks, to ensure vehicles operate smoothly and reliably. Inspect and adjust vehicle components, including belts, hoses, brakes, and exhaust systems, to prevent premature wear and ensure safety. Parts Replacement and Installation: Remove and replace worn or damaged parts, such as brake pads, rotors, spark plugs, fuel injectors, and bearings, using appropriate tools and techniques. Install aftermarket accessories, upgrades, or performance parts as requested by customers, ensuring proper fitment and functionality. Quality Control and Testing: Test drive vehicles after repairs or maintenance services to verify proper operation, identify any remaining issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. Conduct final inspections and quality checks to confirm repairs meet manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Customer Service and Communication: Interact with customers professionally and courteously, discussing vehicle concerns, explaining repair recommendations, and providing estimates for services. Communicate effectively with service advisors, parts suppliers, and colleagues to coordinate repair schedules, order parts, and ensure timely completion of work. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience as an automotive mechanic, technician, or service technician specializing in four-wheeled vehicles is required. Strong mechanical aptitude and technical proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive systems and components. Knowledge of automotive diagnostic tools, equipment, and software used for troubleshooting and analysis. Familiarity with vehicle service manuals, technical bulletins, and repair procedures issued by vehicle manufacturers. Ability to interpret diagnostic codes, wiring diagrams, and schematics to diagnose complex vehicle issues. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to diagnose and repair vehicle problems accurately. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Certification from a recognized automotive training program or institution may be preferred.
