We are looking for a knowledgeable and reliable Fitter to assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment in our manufacturing facility. The Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and production processes. Responsibilities: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand assembly and installation requirements. Assemble and install mechanical components, machinery, and equipment according to engineering drawings and instructions. Align and fit components to ensure proper functionality and performance. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and adjusting settings to keep machinery in optimal condition. Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime. Use hand and power tools, welding equipment, and measuring instruments to perform fitting and assembly tasks. Test machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to coordinate work and achieve production goals. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and equipment manuals. Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the field. Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding quality control, workplace safety, and environmental compliance. Requirements: Proven work experience as a Fitter or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with hand and power tools. Knowledge of fitting, assembly, and installation techniques for mechanical components and systems. Familiarity with welding and fabrication techniques is a plus. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs effectively. Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship. Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Good communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed. Certification or vocational training in fitting or a related field is preferred.
