As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. You will work closely with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen personnel to ensure that dishes are prepared efficiently and to our restaurant's high standards. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruits, vegetables, and other food items. Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately to ensure consistency in food quality. Assist cooks and chefs in cooking and assembling dishes as needed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as food processors, mixers, grills, and ovens. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly to ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. Stock and organize food and kitchen supplies, including ingredients, spices, and condiments. Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, checking for quality and freshness. Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times, including proper handwashing and temperature control. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service. Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen supervisor or manager to support the overall operation of the kitchen. Requirements: Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. Good communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
