We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team in Ernakulam. The Truck Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating commercial trucks to transport goods and materials between locations. The ideal candidate should have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Responsibilities: Safely operate and maneuver commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, or other heavy vehicles, to transport goods, materials, or equipment to designated destinations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the truck, including checking tires, brakes, lights, signals, and fluid levels, and report any defects or maintenance issues to the dispatcher or supervisor. Secure cargo and ensure that it is properly loaded, balanced, and secured according to safety regulations and company policies, using straps, chains, and other securing devices as needed. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery, taking into account traffic conditions, road closures, and weather conditions to ensure timely arrival at destinations. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards while operating the truck, including speed limits, weight limits, and hours of service regulations. Drive defensively and anticipate potential hazards or obstacles on the road, such as other vehicles, pedestrians, and construction zones, to avoid accidents and ensure safety. Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules, using logbooks, electronic logging devices (ELDs), or other tracking systems. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to provide updates on delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during transportation. Perform routine maintenance tasks on the truck, such as checking oil levels, refueling, and cleaning the interior and exterior, to keep the vehicle in good working condition. Follow company policies and procedures for reporting accidents, incidents, or safety violations, and cooperate with investigations and follow-up actions as required. Provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, and other stakeholders by delivering goods on time, handling inquiries or complaints professionally, and representing the company in a positive manner. Comply with all company policies, regulations, and industry standards related to transportation, including hazardous materials handling, security protocols, and environmental regulations. Requirements: Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated (e.g., Class A, Class B, or Class C CDL).
