We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Car Polishing Technician in Trivandrum. The Car Polishing Technician will be responsible for restoring and enhancing the appearance of vehicles by performing polishing, buffing, and paint correction procedures. The ideal candidate should have experience in automotive detailing, a keen eye for quality, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities: Inspect vehicles for paint imperfections, scratches, swirl marks, and other surface defects, and assess the extent of polishing and paint correction required. Select appropriate polishing compounds, abrasives, pads, and tools based on the condition of the vehicle's paint and the desired level of finish. Perform paint surface preparation tasks, such as washing, drying, clay barring, and decontaminating, to remove dirt, residue, and contaminants before polishing. Operate polishing machines, dual action polishers, rotary buffers, and orbital buffers to apply polishing compounds and buffing agents to vehicle surfaces. Polish and buff vehicle exteriors, including painted surfaces, clear coats, metal trim, chrome accents, and plastic trims, to remove scratches, swirls, oxidation, and imperfections. Apply protective coatings, sealants, and wax products to enhance shine, depth of color, and durability of the paint finish, and protect against environmental damage. Detail and polish interior surfaces, including dashboard, door panels, trim, and upholstery, using appropriate cleaners, conditioners, and protectants. Clean and polish glass surfaces, windows, mirrors, and headlights using glass cleaners, polishes, and microfiber towels to ensure clarity and visibility. Inspect finished work for quality and consistency, touch up any areas requiring additional attention, and ensure customer satisfaction with the results. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the detailing area, equipment storage areas, and workstations, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standards. Assist customers with selecting appropriate polishing and detailing packages, explaining services and pricing, and providing recommendations for additional services. Collaborate with other detailing technicians, car wash attendants, and service advisors to coordinate workflow, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient operation of the detailing department. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred. Proven work experience as a car detailing technician, automotive detailer, or car polishing specialist. Knowledge of automotive detailing techniques, paint correction methods, and polishing procedures. Proficiency in using polishing machines, buffers, pads, and detailing tools to achieve desired results. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and address paint imperfections and surface defects effectively. Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and precision in performing polishing and buffing tasks. Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs. Integrity, reliability, and a positive attitude towards work and colleagues. Fluency in Malayalam; proficiency in English or other languages is an advantage.
