Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors, carpets, and rugs to remove dirt, dust, stains, and debris, and maintain a neat and presentable appearance. Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures, such as desks, tables, chairs, shelves, and countertops, to remove dust, dirt, and smudges. Empty trash receptacles, collect and dispose of waste materials, and replace trash liners as needed to ensure cleanliness and sanitation. Clean and disinfect restrooms, toilets, sinks, and fixtures, replenish toiletries, towels, and supplies, and maintain hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations. Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools, and ensure streak-free and spotless results. Perform special cleaning tasks, such as deep cleaning, high dusting, polishing, and buffing floors, as directed by the supervisor or cleaning schedule. Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, request replenishment or replacement as needed, and maintain inventory records to ensure availability and readiness. Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, and tools to prevent accidents and injuries. Adhere to established cleaning schedules, procedures, and standards, and complete assigned tasks efficiently and thoroughly within designated timeframes. Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning rounds to the supervisor for prompt resolution and follow-up. Collaborate with other cleaning staff members, supervisors, and departments to coordinate cleaning activities, share resources, and achieve operational goals. Requirements: No formal education required; high school diploma or equivalent is a plus. Proven work experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or a related field is advantageous. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and safety procedures. Physical stamina and endurance to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand or walk for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required. Integrity, reliability, and a positive attitude towards work and colleagues. Fluency in Malayalam; proficiency in English or other languages is an advantage.
