Job Description: 1. Dispensing Medications: Dispense prescription medications to patients and offer advice on their proper use, dosage, interactions, and potential side effects. 2. Patient Consultation: Provide counseling to patients on the appropriate use of medications, including instructions for administration, potential side effects, and adherence to treatment regimens. 3. Medication Management: Oversee medication inventory, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal of pharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory standards and pharmacy policies. 4. Prescription Review: Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness, ensuring that medications are prescribed according to established guidelines. 5. Drug Information: Stay updated on the latest pharmaceutical developments, drug interactions, and therapeutic guidelines to provide accurate information to patients and healthcare professionals. 6. Compounding: Prepare specialized medications, such as intravenous solutions, ointments, and other compounded formulations, following precise procedures and quality standards. 7. Health Promotion: Promote health and wellness through patient education, medication adherence programs, and community outreach initiatives. 8. Collaborative Care: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to optimize patient outcomes and ensure coordinated care. 9. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards set by regulatory bodies, such as the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. 10. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, such as medication error prevention, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. 11. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of prescription transactions, patient profiles, and medication histories, ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information. 12. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, resolving medication-related issues, and fostering positive relationships with patients and healthcare providers. Qualifications: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from a recognized institution. Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, and pharmacy practice standards. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to ethical principles. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
