Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts, to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency. Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues with refrigeration systems using diagnostic tools, gauges, and meters, and troubleshoot problems to determine root causes. Repair or replace faulty components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and defrost timers, to restore proper functionality. Test system performance using gauges and diagnostic equipment, and adjust settings as needed to achieve desired temperatures and humidity levels. Charge refrigerant levels according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards, and check for leaks using leak detection tools and methods. Follow safety procedures and regulations while working with high-voltage electrical systems, refrigerants, and heavy equipment, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
