The Banquet Manager is responsible for the successful operation of banquet events, ensuring guest satisfaction, efficient operations, and profitability. They oversee all aspects of banquet planning, organization, and execution. Key Responsibilities: Event Planning: Work closely with clients to understand event requirements and preferences. Plan and coordinate all aspects of banquet events, including menus, seating arrangements, decorations, audio-visual equipment, and any special requests. Create detailed event orders and distribute to relevant departments. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and set-up crews. Schedule staff for events, ensuring adequate coverage based on event size and requirements. Provide leadership and direction to the banquet team, ensuring high-quality service standards. Operations Management: Oversee banquet set-up and breakdown, ensuring all elements are in place according to the event order. Monitor event progress, addressing any issues or concerns that arise promptly. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Manage inventory and ordering of banquet supplies and equipment. Customer Service: Serve as the main point of contact for clients during events, addressing any requests or concerns. Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards and resolving any issues effectively. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Financial Management: Prepare and manage banquet budgets, including cost control measures. Monitor and analyze banquet revenue and expenses, making adjustments as needed to meet financial goals. Implement upselling strategies to maximize revenue per event. Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments such as catering, kitchen, and sales to ensure seamless event execution. Participate in sales efforts by showcasing the banquet facilities to potential clients. Work with the culinary team to design and execute creative menus that meet client expectations. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Banquet Manager or relevant role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of banquet operations, including set-up, service, and event coordination. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in MS Office and banquet management software is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred.
