As a Body Shop Advisor in Ernakulam, you will serve as a liaison between customers and the body shop department, ensuring that customers receive high-quality service for vehicle repairs and maintenance. Your primary responsibility is to assess vehicle damage, provide repair estimates, and coordinate the repair process to meet customer satisfaction and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Customer Interaction: Greet customers and assess their vehicle repair needs. Listen to customer concerns, inspect vehicles for damage, and provide accurate explanations of repair options and procedures. Establish trust and rapport with customers to ensure a positive service experience. Damage Assessment: Inspect vehicles for damage and assess the extent of repairs required. Document damage and prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating software or manual calculations. Communicate repair estimates to customers and obtain authorization for repairs. Estimate Presentation: Present repair estimates to customers in a clear and understandable manner. Explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines, and address any questions or concerns raised by customers. Provide recommendations for additional services or repairs as needed. Parts and Labor Coordination: Coordinate with the parts department to order necessary replacement parts and materials for repairs. Schedule appointments and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs. Monitor progress and update customers on repair status as needed. Quality Control: Ensure that repairs are completed to high-quality standards and in compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Conduct quality inspections of completed repairs to verify workmanship and address any deficiencies or issues. Customer Follow-Up: Follow up with customers throughout the repair process to provide updates on repair status and address any additional concerns or questions. Obtain customer feedback upon completion of repairs to ensure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of repair orders, estimates, invoices, and customer interactions. Enter data into computerized systems or databases for tracking and reporting purposes. Generate reports on repair volumes, customer satisfaction, and other key metrics as required. Technical Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and techniques in automotive repair and body shop operations. Continuously update knowledge of vehicle makes and models, repair methods, and industry best practices. Customer Service Excellence: Strive to deliver exceptional customer service at all times. Handle customer complaints or disputes with professionalism and empathy. Work proactively to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the body shop team, including technicians, painters, and administrative staff, to streamline workflow and improve efficiency. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth coordination of repair activities. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Additional education or training in automotive repair or customer service is preferred. Previous experience in a customer service or advisory role, preferably in an automotive or body shop environment. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures, estimating software, and insurance processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating repairs and documenting information. Proficiency in computer software and applications for estimating, invoicing, and data entry. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
