Accountant Job Opening in Kollam

Job Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The accountant's duties will include but are not limited to: Responsibilities: Recording day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely. Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts. Preparing financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) on a regular basis. Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring. Analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Processing payroll in a timely manner. Assisting with tax preparation and compliance. Conducting periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. Providing financial reports and analysis to management as needed. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven work experience as an accountant or in a similar role. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus. CPA or similar certification is preferred but not required.
