As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your role will be critical in ensuring accurate and timely test results, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our healthcare services. Key Responsibilities: Perform a variety of laboratory tests including blood tests, urine analysis, and other diagnostic tests as required. Prepare specimens and samples for analysis, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, cell counters, and centrifuges. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Record and analyze test results, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all tests performed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results, provide interpretations, and contribute to patient care decisions. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory tests. Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Lab Technician in a healthcare setting. Registered with the Kerala Paramedical Council or relevant licensing authority. Proficient in operating laboratory equipment and conducting various laboratory tests. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and analyzing test results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and infection control measures. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
