As a Civil AutoCAD Drafter based in Palakkad, your primary responsibility will be to create detailed technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects using AutoCAD software. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to produce accurate and comprehensive drawings that guide the construction, renovation, or design of various structures and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Utilize AutoCAD software to create 2D and 3D technical drawings, schematics, plans, and layouts for civil engineering projects, including buildings, roads, bridges, drainage systems, and utilities. Interpret and translate design concepts, sketches, specifications, and calculations provided by engineers and architects into detailed and precise drawings. Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring that drawings meet quality standards and project objectives. Incorporate relevant information such as dimensions, materials, codes, and regulations into drawings to facilitate accurate construction and adherence to industry standards. Perform site visits and surveys as needed to gather data, verify measurements, and assess site conditions for drawing accuracy and completeness. Revise and modify drawings as necessary based on feedback, changes in project scope, or field conditions, ensuring that drawings remain up-to-date and reflect any modifications accurately. Coordinate with other drafters, engineers, and consultants to integrate various design components and disciplines into cohesive and coordinated drawings. Maintain organized files and documentation of drawings, revisions, and project-related information to facilitate easy retrieval and reference. Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in AutoCAD drafting techniques to enhance skills and productivity. Adhere to company standards, procedures, and guidelines for drafting practices, file management, and quality control. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to clarify project requirements, address concerns, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Proven experience in AutoCAD drafting, particularly in the civil engineering or construction industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD software, including 2D and 3D drafting tools, layer management, dimensioning, and annotation. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, materials, and codes. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and plans. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with project stakeholders. Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to civil engineering projects in Kerala. Experience with other design software or tools such as Revit, Civil 3D, or GIS is a plus.
